"...a lady with the spirit of a troubadour. " JAZZ WEEKLY

“Along with Nathan Ellman Bell on drums and Kenji Herbert on guitar, Weber’s versatile vocals and double bass prowess make Keeping It Real one of the most exciting jazz-ish records in recent history that fans of indie-rock will also embrace.” TAKE EFFECT REVIEWS

The Sleeved Hearts trio is Weber's project as bandleader, bassist, vocalist and composer.   An amalgamation of her extensive experience as a jazz double bassist, along with her time as songwriter/vocalist in her pop punk outfit 'A Date With Apathy' (2004-2009).  Performing at venues in NYC such as Pete's Candy Store, The Waystation, The Delancey, Rockwood Music Hall and City Winery NYC, the trio achieves an eclectic cohesion of traditional jazz roots, free improvisation, pop-punk and indie rock influences.

Featuring Nathan Ellman Bell on drums and Kenji Herbert on guitar.

The Sleeved Hearts followed up their 2019 debut ‘Keeping It Real’ with ‘No Standards’, a compilation of non-jazz standards from the 1970s to today. Their new EP ‘Big In Japan’ will be released late 2023 beginning on September 8th with ‘Kinstugi’.

"Weber has never played by anyone else’s rules when it comes to her original music. Her latest band is no exception: the Sleeved Hearts might as well define genre-bending, intricately fusing Weber’s jazz bass prowess with punchy, modern indie-rock arrangements.  It’s the type of combination fresh enough to break through the crowd of musicians playing it safe. The Sleeved Hearts are ready to take their tightly written work to the masses - regardless of whether they’ll be called jazz, rock, pop or something else entirely."  LIVAMP
